FUND MANAGEMENT

Developing strategies for transparent handling and distribution of funds for development projects.

 

Christoph Lodemann is an experienced fund manager with a strong focus on efficiency and accountability in the funding processes. This includes the development of transparent funding principles and guidelines, as well as monitoring and documenting results of distributed funds.

 

Specific experiences with fund management incudes

 

  • As the Director of the Danish Emergency Relief Fund (DERF), Mr. Lodemann is since 2021 responsible for development of the fund and its overall management. This includes the formulation of funding guidelines, establishing the system of call for applicants, and reporting on performance of the fund.

  • Assessment of applications based on transparent assessment criteria. From 2017 to 2020 Mr Lodemann acted as assessment consultant for the Danish Emergency Relief Fund (DERF).

  • Member of the granting committee of the Danish Disability Fund (2017-2019) and the Advisory Board of the Diaspora Programme of the Danish Refugee Council. In both functions, Mr. Lodemann contributed with assessing incoming applications based on assessment criteria.

  • As a programme manager at the Danish Center for Culture and Development, Christoph Lodemann was responsible for the development and management of 3 country programmes (Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda), directing funds to local CSOs in support of arts and creative industries.

 

Mr. Lodemann combines his role as fund manager with his work of capacity development, enabling CSOs to manage the funds distributed and document results.
